How do I add a subscription?
Tap the Subscriptions tab, then the + button. Subtrax walks you through three quick questions: what it's called, what it costs, and when you were last charged — the renewal date is worked out for you. Notes, cancellation links, and other details can be added any time by editing the subscription.
What is the Archive?
When you subtract (cancel) a subscription, it moves to the Archive tab rather than being deleted. You can see how much you've saved, view the history, and reactivate any subscription with one tap if you ever come back to it.
Does it sync across my devices?
Yes, if you're signed into iCloud. Your data syncs privately through your own Apple ID via CloudKit. Subtrax never touches your data — it goes directly between your devices through Apple's encrypted infrastructure.
How do I restore my purchase?
Go to the Dashboard, tap the gear icon in the top right, then Restore Purchase. Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
How do renewal notifications work?
Notifications are scheduled locally on your device — nothing is sent through a server. You can set a reminder timing per-subscription (e.g. 3 days before renewal). Manage them from the Dashboard → gear icon → Notifications.
How does Subtrax calculate my annual cost?
Weekly subscriptions are multiplied by 52, monthly by 12, quarterly by 4, and annual subscriptions are used as-is. The Dashboard shows your total annual leak, with monthly and daily equivalents, so you can see the real number.
Is Subtrax free?
Subtrax is free to download and tracks your first 2 subscriptions at no cost — including renewal alerts, iCloud sync, and the Archive. A one-time purchase unlocks unlimited subscriptions — the price is shown in the App Store and varies by region. There is no recurring fee, ever.
What happens to my data if I delete the app?
Local data is removed with the app. If you used iCloud sync, you can remove Subtrax data from Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
